Located in the Massif Central of the island of Vitória, in the State of Espírito Santo, Parque da Fonte Grande is the perfect combination for those looking for relaxation and contemplation of beautiful scenery. It has 21800 m² of native Atlantic Forest, where small animals that can be seen during the tour still live.
The park was opened in June 2001 and is under the care of Vitória’s City Hall. With privileged scenery, it has natural scenic overlooks that provide spectacular natural and multiple views of the city and its surroundings. Its topography is irregular and encompasses valleys and hills. On the location, there are water spouts and springs, such as the São Benedito, Cazuza and Morcego springs, the most visited of the region.
On top of Morro da Fonte Grande, there are radio and television towers. The highest point reaches nearly 309 m. They attract the attention of a lot of people that circulate around the seashore and help direct their looks to the natural beauty of the park.
Pedestrians should go through the Antônio Dell Antônia or Alziro Viana streets.
