Located on a square in the industrial center of Manaus, known as Bola da Suframa, the Povos da Amazônia Cultural Center (CCPA) was created to share information on Continental Amazon countries: Bolivia, Brazil, Ecuador, Colombia, Peru, Guyana, Suriname, Venezuela and French Guiana.

Opened in 2007 to gather historical and cultural records, the Cultural Center offers activities for all age ranges, such as exhibitions, theater plays, gatherings and festivals.

The Center has published several Amazon-related books and coordinates research activities through the Mário Ypiranga Monteiro Library and Memorial collections, located in the CCPA building.

Some of the exhibitions open to the public include the Maloca Aruak, which displaying some traits of the indigenous culture, the Casa do Caboclo, a replica of typical caboclo houses made of wooden walls and straw roofs, and Barracão do Guaraná, Casa da Farinha and the Rubber Smoking Tapiri.

Opening hours:
Management office: Mondays through Fridays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Visitation: Mondays through Fridays, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Cultural Center only opens for specific events on weekends and holidays.
