Sete Cidades National Park
Created in 1961, the National Park has around six thousand acres of natural monuments and rock formations, waterfalls and ancient inscriptions, all of which are protected by the Chico Mendes Biodiversity Conservation Institute (ICMBio). To facilitate the tur, seven imaginary cities were created.
Serra da Capivara National Park
Its area of129,000 hectaresis home to the largest number of archaeological sites in the Americas: more than one thousand are cataloged, such as cave paintings and other traces indicating a human presence in the region going back 60,000 years. Of this total, around 200 are open to visitors.
This beach has the best tourist facilities in the region, and receives a lot of visitors, especially during the holiday period. Here you can sample regional seafood and products from the mangroves, such as crab.
