Cachoeira da Farofa is located in the Caparaó National Park, on the border between the States of Espírito Santo and Minas Gerais. To get to it, you should enter through Espírito Santo’s entranceway, which is located in the district of Pedra Menina.
The waterfall is located 6 km from the entranceway. Access is easy and you will walk amidst species of wild fauna and flora typical to the Atlantic Forest. Upon arriving, feel free to enjoy the four waterfalls and have a delightful swim in the clean and clear waters of the São Domingos river.
The visitation occurs preferentially in the months from December to March. Take the opportunity to visit other attractions of the park, such as Pico da Bandeira, the third highest point of Brazil, with 2,892m in altitude.
It is also possible to stay overnight in the park in the areas available for camping, upon prior reservation.
