Lagoa das Araras (Lagoon of the Macaws) is located about 65 km from the municipality of Nobres, Mato Grosso. With marsh-like characteristics, the pond is surrounded by buritis (type of palm tree). When dying, the trees lose their top foliage and their stems become hollow, forming a propitious environment for macaws and other birds in the region to form their nests and breed.
The place is famous for having a beautiful Sunset and, at the end of the day, it becomes crowded with visitors who enjoy the scenery, while the birds that return to their nests fly above the tree.
Throughout the location you will find benches to sit and contemplate the landscape. Take your camera and enjoy the end of the day amidst nature.
