Rock in Rio is more than a music festival; is a brand that has become synonymous with celebration, musical diversity, and unforgettable experiences. Its first edition in 1985 was born from the entrepreneurial vision of Brazilian businessman Roberto Medina.
With its debut, Rock in Rio left an indelible mark on the global music scene. The event brought some of rock’s biggest stars, including Queen, AC/DC and Yes, to the stage at Cidade do Rock, in Barra da Tijuca, Rio de Janeiro. Since then, the festival has become an internationally recognized brand.
Over subsequent editions, Rock in Rio expanded its reach beyond Brazilian borders. Cities such as Lisbon, Madrid and Las Vegas also became the stage for this unique musical spectacle. In Brazil, it takes place in Rio de Janeiro, receiving around 100 thousand people per day in memorable editions that are popular with national and international audiences.
