Espírito Santo is one of Brazil's 27 Federative Units

Tourism in Espírito Santo is organized by tourist routes. These are routes that lead visitors to enjoy beautiful beaches, such as Guarapari and Aracruz, climb mountains with mild climate and hike on unforgettable tracks, incities such as Domingos Martins, and eat the most famous dish in the State: moqueca capixaba.

Internationally famous, the moqueca is a fish and seafood stew with different spices. Since its origin is from Espírito Santo, it is called capixaba, and differs from the moqueca baiana (from Bahia) for not having palm oil or coconut milk.

The Baía de Vitória has 34 islands and forms a beautiful landscape around the State capital. The city has one of the most important ports of the country: Vitória. Vitória and several others ports form the largest port complex in South America. The main beach of the city is Camburi, ideal to practice water sports.
